Help for Members in Florida
If you’re affected and live anywhere in Florida, here’s what you should know:
- You can get emergency or urgent care services by doctors and hospitals, even if they’re not in your plan network — and claims will be paid as if they’re in your network.
- If you’re on an Anthem prescription drug plan you can refill lost or damaged prescriptions at any pharmacy now.
- If you use a mail order pharmacy you can update your address information by calling Member Services.
- Time limits for prior authorization, pre-certification or referral requirements will be relaxed – there will be no late penalties.
- You get an added 30-day grace period to pay your premium from September 7, 2017 through October 7, 2017.
The relaxed guidelines for members in Florida are effective from September 7, 2017 through October 7, 2017. It does not apply to Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medicaid or Federal Employees Health Benefits Program members. These programs have specific guidelines.
Help for Members in Georgia
If you’re affected and live anywhere in Georgia, here’s what you should know:
- If you’re on an Anthem or BCBSGa prescription drug plan you can refill lost or damaged prescriptions at any pharmacy now.
- If you use a mail order pharmacy you can update your address information by calling Member Services.
The relaxed guidelines for members in Florida are effective from September 11, 2017 through October 11, 2017. It does not apply to Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medicaid or Federal Employees Health Benefits Program members. These programs have specific guidelines.

Help for Members in US Virgin Islands
If you’re affected and live anywhere in US Virgin Islands here’s what you should know:
- You can get emergency or urgent care services by doctors and hospitals, even if they’re not in your plan network — and claims will be paid as if they’re in your network.
- If you’re on an Anthem prescription drug plan you can refill lost or damaged prescriptions at any pharmacy now.
- If you use a mail order pharmacy you can update your address information by calling Member Services.
- You and your doctors are being given more time to file claims, if needed
- You can get replacement medical equipment (also called Durable Medical Equipment or DME) if yours was lost or damaged.
The relaxed guidelines for members in US Virgin Islands are effective from September 13, 2017 through October 13, 2017. It does not apply to Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, Medicaid or Federal Employees Health Benefits Program members. These programs have specific guidelines.
