If you live in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Gadsden, Liberty, Franklin, Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, Hamilton, Suwannee, Lafayette, Dixie, Columbia, Gilchrist, Levy, Citrus, Baker, Union, Bradford, Alachua, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, or Manatee County in Florida, here’s what you should know:
- Members on one of our prescription drug plans can get up to a 30-day emergency refill of their maintenance medications at any pharmacy now. This also applies to emergency personnel who have been activated by their state and local agency but who do not reside in Florida.
- Members who use a mail-order pharmacy can update address information by calling Member Services.
Relaxed guidelines are in effect from October 7 through November 6, 2018 for impacted members in Florida. They apply to members with Empire health plans. They do not apply to Medicare, Medicaid or Federal Employees Health Benefits Program members. These programs have specific guidelines.

If you live anywhere in the state of South Carolina, here’s what you should know:
- Members on one of our prescription drug plans can get up to a 30-day emergency refill of their maintenance medications at any pharmacy now. This also applies to emergency personnel who have been activated by their state and local agency but who do not reside in South Carolina.
- Members who use a mail-order pharmacy can update address information by calling Member Services.
- Time limits for prior authorization, pre-certification or referral requirements will be relaxed — there will be no late penalties.
Relaxed guidelines are in effect from October 11 through November 15, 2018 for impacted members in South Carolina. They apply to members with Empire health plans. They do not apply to Medicare, Medicaid or Federal Employees Health Benefits Program members. These programs have specific guidelines.
